Toy Factory updates the RFID project to meet the customer's technical needs

Lucy. RFID Net World. 2021-09-03 10:46:35
The Pomerodi toy toys factory, Brazil recently launched an RFID project, due to the needs of one of its main customers: Havan, one of the largest retail chains of Brazil. After research by the IT team, the project was implemented internally before the labeled products were delivered to Havan.

"The IT team has analyzed equipment, printers and labels and has developed an RFID project. In this project, they can enjoy the benefits while providing services to customers." CEO CEO of caesa Jefferson Hope (Jeferson Hoppe) said.

However, CALESITA has encountered some obstacles in the consistency and quality of RFID reading during the implementation of the RFID instrument of the ITAG Smart Lebel company in the toy factory. Therefore, itag had to change the RFID record by applying GS1's SGTIN-96 standard to meet the needs of internal and advanced projects.

Itag has implanted the IPRINT software in CALESITA equipment and is responsible for generating RFID tags in the GS1 standard. The process information therefore entered the factory management system (ERP) developed by CaleSita itself.

In terms of movement freight, itag has implanted the iMonitor tool in the portal reader of the caleale group, in which the final production order is completed and the order is checked before entering the carriage loading area.

In terms of inventory and other logistics functions, Hope said: "Itag distributed the ITAG Alert 2.0 software, which allows CaleSita to use inventory functions and RFID movement reports." One of the features of the software is the first FIRST-IN FIRST-OUT (FIFO) function. With the application analysis function, all functions are concentrated on a point so that managers can easily perform analysis commands.

Today, CALESITA uses the GTIN-13 standard for all the brands of the business group and similarly identifies the package of each product.

Hope said: "The goal of this project is to trace the entire line of products from the CALESITA group, from the factory to the end customer in the production area, just like a great department store as Havan. To achieve this goal, to IL PASAD process has been implemented. And divided priorities, such as: first, to meet customer needs; second, to use the update opportunity to bring benefits; third, to develop the process to automation ".

"In these three phases, our cooperation with ITAG continued to explore. Itag is responsible for introducing the GS1 standardization to us, explaining market cases and analyze the advantages we can get after using the instrument."

The printing of the Calesata label follows the standardization of the products. Each product has an RFID label attached to the packaging, thus extending its application to the second phase of the project: verification and completion of production orders. At this time, there will be an RFID reader to record the acceptance of the product.

After the first inspection, the products will be transferred to the warehouse center and stored for collection and delivery to complete the sales order. Then a second inspection is performed. With the help of RFID technology, in the logistic process, the data of the operators, orders and related products are captured and associated with invoices in order to provide services to customers of the CALESITA Group.

Hope remembered: "During this process, we started using the Havan customer chain standardization to label the products. Therefore, we used customer labels on order products, which caused the process of becoming a process of preparation to Long term. Consuming the process. So this is also a very important improvement point, so we looked for a company with a wide experience in RFID projects and I found itag to optimize the process. "

After collaborating with ITAG, both parties have made some improvements in printing processes, tests and inventories. "Printing labels is standardized by the iPrint software, where we applied the EAN13 code and used the EPC Gen2 standard recognized by GS1 So we can satisfy Havan's requirements and simplify orders. "

In logistics processing equipment, the old readers have been replaced with the UR4 Casseway readers and the ITAG monitor software, and the integrated operations were carried out on the site to simplify the use of readers RFID.Spero explained, "we have also changed Readers in the shipping area to better get data during product movement. "

After the project has been updated, the RFID inventory management process has also been created, and the ITAG tool was used for the regular inventory, and therefore the cycle inventory was carried out.
